For our client in the finance sector, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a data platform project.

📍 Location: Remote from Europe

📅 Start: June 2026 (or earlier by agreement)
📆 Duration: Until 31.12.2026 with possible extension
⏱️ Workload: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Manage and refine business & technical requirements with stakeholders
• Coordinate data integration with multiple source systems
• Design Data Warehouse models (Data Vault methodology)
• Develop and optimize data pipelines using SQL and Python
• Build scalable transformations using Databricks and dbt
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance in banking-related use cases

Requirements

✔️ Experience with Data Engineering / Data Warehousing
✔️ Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
✔️ Experience with Databricks
✔️ Experience with dbt (data build tool)
✔️ Data modeling experience (Data Vault preferred)
✔️ Experience coordinating with source systems
✔️ German & English – business fluent
✔️ Banking/finance experience is a plus

💰 Rate: $20–30/hour (B2B)
