Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Software Engineer with an interest in building and maintaining ETL pipelines. This is a remote freelance opportunity.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience working with real-world data systems.

Responsibilities:

Assist in building and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines
Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Clean, transform, and validate data for analytics and reporting
Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues
Collaborate with team members asynchronously

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, or similar programming languages
Understanding of ETL concepts and data workflows
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Ability to write clean, readable code
Strong problem-solving mindset
Good English communication

Nice to Have (Not Required):

Experience with tools like Airflow, Spark, dbt
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
Personal or academic projects involving ETL or data pipelines
